Work set to start on Sheffield city centre’s biggest speculative office scheme

Work is set to begin on the final phase of the Sheffield Digital Campus, which is said to be the biggest speculative office development in the city.

Designed by architects CJCT, the latest block, known as Endeavour, is an eight-storey building that will offer 6,200m2 of Grade A office space along with a tenant’s roof terrace.

Due to be delivered in early 2022, it is the final of four buildings on the site. Electric Works, Ventana House and Acero have all been successfully let and subsequently sold to investors with high-profile occupiers including Sky, Kennedy’s, Michael Page and Atkins.

According to developer Scarborough Group, Endeavour will provide premium workspace offering flexible open-plan floorplates, capable of subdivision to suit a variety of business space requirements.

Scarborough Group Head of Commercial Adam Varley said: “We are delighted to announce our commitment to deliver this final building, which will complete our promise to provide nearly a quarter of a million square feet of prime business space at Sheffield Digital Campus.

“The scheme has been, and continues to be successful, establishing a new office quarter in a super-prime location next to the city’s major transport hubs and in the centre of the development framework for the new HS2 Midlands Station.”
