Posted on by in Weekly News

Just over 1,200t of structural steelwork has been erected by Border Steelwork Structures for six steel-framed industrial units forming the final phase of construction at Leeds Valley Park.

Located between Junction 44 of the M1 and Junction 7 of the M621, the development also includes office space built during an earlier phase of work. The latest units are set to provide a significant boost to the local economy.

The six high-quality, new industrial units range in size from 2,322m2 to 6,500m2 with haunch heights of 8m up to 12m.

Caddick Developments’ Director Jim Dyson, says: “When it comes to urban logistics, connectivity is key, and Leeds Valley Park benefits from unrivalled motorway connections and is Leeds’ premier industrial and distribution location.

“Our work with Caddick Construction to bring forward this scheme is a great example of how the Caddick Group has the agility to collaborate across disciplines and create exemplar, market-leading developments that meet the needs of different locations and occupiers.”

Each of the new industrial units, which will benefit from either one-storey or two-storey internal offices, have been designed to achieve a ‘Very Good’ BREEAM rating and an EPC A rating.

The final phase of work at Leeds Valley Park is scheduled to be completed in November.
