Steelwork in action published in New Civil Engineer

NCE151105The latest Structural Steelwork in Action special report is available in this week’s New Civil Engineer (NCE) magazine.

Published in association with the British Constructional Steelwork Association and Tata Steel, the supplement showcases four innovative steelwork projects and reports on the recent changes and updates to www.steelconstruction.info

The initial project feature reports on the latest commercial office block at Pancras Square in central London. The 11-storey steel-framed structure has been economically designed with long-span cellular beams used throughout.

The multi-million pound redevelopment of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital includes the construction of a steel-framed Clinical Services Support Building, a hub for many of the hospital’s vital services.

www.steelconstruction.info was launched in 2012, bringing together all of the sector’s technical and cost information. The NCE special report carries an article examining all of the updates and improvements to the website over the last three years.

An article on Sunderland College and another on Hinckley’s town centre regeneration scheme, known as the Cresent, complete the report.
