St. Modwen granted planning permission for three Worcester warehouses

Posted on by in Weekly News

Developer St. Modwen has secured planning consent for three new warehousing and distribution units, totalling 8,700m² at the Nunnery Park development in Worcester.

The 20-acre mixed-use development is already home to a number of leading businesses and onsite amenities including a restaurant, pub, petrol station and convenience store.

Outline plans were initially submitted in late 2018 and St. Modwen has now been given the green light by Worcester City Council’s planning committee. Work is due to begin on site in July 2019.

Located equidistant between junctions 6 and 7 of the M5 motorway, the three new units will provide high-quality warehousing and distribution space in a prime location, creating over 130 jobs in the area.

James Irwin-Singer, Development Manager for St. Modwen, said: “This planning consent further highlights our continued investment in Worcestershire. Demand for conveniently located warehousing and industrial space continues to grow in the area, particularly for medium-sized units located close to the workforce and amenities. This final phase at Nunnery Park will allow us to meet occupier requirements and expand our quality offering.”
