Severfield renames its modular steel frames business

Based at Sherburn in North Yorkshire, Severfield has rebranded its Products & Processing business as Severfield Modular Solutions (SMS).

The company said it is embracing modular construction more than ever and the name change reflects the journey. It will also make it clearer to clients what services the business has to offer.

Severfield Modular Solutions Business Unit Director David Pout, said: “As Severfield Products & Processing, we saw tremendous growth in our modular product range and revenues over the last three years. The name SMS befits our broadening modular product range of fully integrated Severstor modules and our modular frames offering.

“With the opportunities for modular construction growing in so many of the markets that we work in, we are both passionate and excited about the future growth of SMS.

“As a Group, we continue to gain a greater understanding of these markets and what we can offer them, both as the leading steelwork contractor and as one of the fastest growing modular businesses in the UK.”

Utilising a team of over 120 fabricators, SMS is now offering large-scale manufacturing of both complex and simple steel frames for modular building manufacturers. The frames are said to be suitable for various sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education and accommodation.
