Plans submitted for White City office scheme
Architect Allies and Morrison has submitted plans for three new office blocks on the BBC Media Village site in west London.
The 100,000m² scheme marks the third phase of the emerging 17-acre business district now known as White City Place.
Working with developers Stanhope and Mitsui Fudosan, the plans include a 21-storey office development known as Gateway East. It will provide 63,181m² of office floor space and 2,182m² of shopping space. The current programme would see Gateway East completed and occupied in 2020.
The second tallest block is known as Gateway Central and will be a major new office building providing 35,226m² of office and retail floor space.
The building will be of varied height, rising from four to 12 storeys with shops, cafés and restaurants at ground level.
The third building is Gateway West, the smallest of the three proposed new buildings, and this will be a low-rise structure of four storeys providing 3,064m² of office floor space.
