November/December issue of New Steel Construction out now

The November/December issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

This issue’s cover story is the PoliNations pop-up garden show that transformed Birmingham’s Victoria Square. The centrepiece of the event was five, demountable, giant architectural steel trees that towered over the display.

Structural steelwork has been chosen as the framing solution for the commercial office element within the mixed-use Building R8 scheme in London’s King’s Cross development. The project is one of the last significant buildings on the nearly complete 67-acre estate.

On a confined town centre site, bus services have not been disrupted as Halifax’s new steel-framed bus station is erected adjacent to the existing facility.

Using a steel-framed solution has enabled a manufacturer in Rotherham to create one of the world’s most advanced and environmentally-friendly precision-engineering factories.

The latest addition to Glasgow’s burgeoning commercial sector is the six-storey Building 6, located on the nearly complete Buchanan Wharf estate overlooking the River Clyde.
NSC also features industry news, a Steel for Life Headline Sponsor article, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
