November/December issue of New Steel Construction out now

The November/December issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC, this is available at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

This month’s cover story is the mixed-use New Bailey scheme in Salford. Adding to a number of completed buildings on the site, two steel-framed commercial blocks are currently under construction, with steelwork being erected by Severfield (Two New Bailey) and EvadX (Three New Bailey).

Edinburgh’s largest speculative office development, located within the City’s Exchange business district, is a steel-framed building. The material was chosen for its ease and speed of construction.

The Williamsgate Water Treatment Works in Cumbria is using steel construction to create a large structure with a dual-curving roof, which will help the building blend into its rural setting.

A steel-framed solution has provided a health centre in Greenock with its desired future-proofed and flexible design, as well as open column-free spans.

A large steel transfer structure will support a high-rise student accommodation block in the City of London, as well as creating an exhibition space for a remnant of the capital’s Roman wall.

NSC also features a Steel for Life Headline Sponsor article from Barrett Steel, industry news, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
