April issue of New Steel Construction out now

Posted on by in Weekly News

The April issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at www.newsteelconstruction.com

This month’s cover story is Leicester City FC’s new multi-million-pound training centre that includes a full-size pitch contained inside a landmark domed structure.

Steel construction is providing the long clear spans and the quick construction programme required for a new office complex at the INOVYN chemical works in Runcorn.

The steel-framed office and manufacturing facility under construction in Dundalk for Chinese company WuXi has been described as a ‘factory of the future’ as it will be at the forefront of new production methods that will allow the cost-effective manufacture of both small and large volumes of medicines.

Forming part of a multi-million-pound scheme that will transform a large swathe of land bordering Shoreditch Park in east London, the construction of a new leisure centre and an academy are providing proof that steel construction does stack-up when an efficient design is required.

On Liverpool’s riverfront, a steel-framed multi-storey car park at King’s Dock will replace a concrete-framed car park that suffered irreparable damage in a fire.

NSC also features industry news, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
