Appointment made for new Chiswick health centre

Posted on by in Weekly News

Willmott Dixon has been appointed by Hounslow Council and the NHS to deliver a state-of-the-art £40M health centre in Chiswick, west London.

The Chiswick Health Centre will replace an existing facility to provide a modern local community healthcare environment for residents with a broader range of GP services, including community and mental health services.

Designed by Allies & Morrison, it will include consulting and examination rooms, district nurse facilities and community rooms. Further features include a public community garden, private landscaped central courtyard and fifth floor terrace and gardens to support local ecology and provide outdoor recreation space.

Councillor Tom Bruce, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development at Hounslow Council, said: “I am delighted that residents in Chiswick will benefit from a new state-of-the-art health facility. We want all residents in Hounslow to enjoy good health and this is a concrete example of us working with the NHS to achieve this goal.”

Doctor Venkatesham, of Chiswick Family Doctors, said: “For several years, we have felt that the existing building is badly in need of repair and modernisation. We are very much looking forward to providing more and varied services for the community in Chiswick with better facilities housed in comfortable modern premises fit for the future.”
